Happy new year!
The 77th Annual Meeting of the Japan Society of Medical Entomology and Zoology will be held in Nagasaki City from April 11th (Fri) to 13th (Sun), 2025. The conference symposium entitled “New Trends in Medical Zoology” is scheduled for the 12th. We selected particularly interesting and important topics. On the 13th, we will hold a public lecture titled “Animals that Threaten Human Health” to provide information on medically important animals to the citizens. In the evening of the 13th, we will hold a “satellite small meeting” outside the venue, to provide some useful information related to medical entomology and zoology researches. The success of the conference depends on your general lectures. At this conference, we plan to have prizes for general lectures for each venue and date voted on by participants. We look forward to seeing you give surprisingly interesting lectures.
The main party will be held in the evening of 12th. In addition, we plan to have a pre-festival party on 11th, and a post-festival party on 13th. I hope you will fully enjoy Nagasaki.

Lunch/Accommodation
There are convenience stores (Daily Yamazaki, Family Mart) within 5 to 10 minutes of the venue. Also, the university co-op will be open on Friday, April 11th and Saturday, April 12th, so please use it for lunch. Also, if you go down the hill to the southwest from the venue, you will reach the downtown area of Hamaguchi-cho in about 15 minutes on foot. There are not only restaurants but also accommodation facilities, so please consider using them.
On Saturday, April 12th, the university co-op shop will be open from 11:00 to 14:00. The cafeteria will not be open, but the table space will be available, so please use it for lunch.
It takes less than 30 minutes to get from the center of Nagasaki (Chuo-bashi, Tsukimachi, Shianbashi, Nagasaki Station, etc.) to the nearest tram stop or bus stop. In Nagasaki, where urban development has been carried out once in 100 years, please enjoy the fish that “Sashimi City Nagasaki” is proud of and the night view from Mt. Inasa and Mt. Nabekabuto at night.
